"Library Card Sign-up Month is a time to remind parents and children that a library card is the most important school supply of all" (American Library Association). Fairley Elementary School has 96 Shining Library Cardholders! Way to go, Bulldogs!
Read for the Record (October 21, 2014)
194 of Fairley's Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students participated in Jumpstart's Read for the Record on October 21, 2014. These students, along with their teachers and guest readers, united with people across the country to read the children's book Bunny Cakes, by bestselling author and illustrator, Rosemary Wells. What a great day it was celebrating reading! Special thanks to Guest Readers Dawn Gaines and Brittany Galloway!

The Fairley Elementary School Library hosted its Fall 2014 Scholastic Book Fair on October 27-31! The event was a BIG success! Number of books sold and sales greatly exceeded last year's goal; our school, home, and classroom libraries have grown because of our awesome school-and-community family!
